Cancellation and Refund Policy

This page sets out how cancellations and refunds work for tours booked on tavanvillage.com. It follows our Booking Terms, which remain the full terms of your booking. There are two sets of terms: one for the day tours, one for the 3-day tour that includes hotel nights.
1. Half-day and full-day tours: free cancellation up to 3 days before
Cancel up to 3 days (72 hours) before your scheduled pickup time and everything you have paid is refunded to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
2. Day tours within 3 days of departure
Cancellations within 3 days of departure, including no-shows, lose the deposit of 30% of the tour price, because the car, guide and workshop are already committed. If you paid in full, we refund the other 70%. If you paid the 30% deposit, the deposit covers the charge and nothing more is due.
3. The 3-day tour from Hanoi
The 3-day tour from Hanoi (includes hotel nights): free cancellation up to 21 days before your scheduled pickup time, with a full refund. From 21 to 14 days before, 50% of the hotel cost of your booking is charged, because the hotel holds the rooms for you; the amount is stated in your confirmation and the rest is refunded. Within 14 days of departure, including no-shows, the deposit of 30% of the tour price is kept; if you paid in full, we refund the other 70%. Date changes are free up to 21 days before, subject to availability; later changes depend on the hotel and are arranged over WhatsApp.
4. Changing your date
Day tours: free up to 3 days before departure. The 3-day tour: free up to 21 days before. Both subject to availability.
5. If we have to change or cancel
If weather, a road closure or a host family means part of the day is unavailable, we tell you before departure where possible and offer an equivalent, a new date, or — if the tour cannot reasonably go ahead — a full refund.
6. How to cancel
